This position will require the ability to multi-task and successfully execute the design and documentation of complex architectural projects. Candidates must think outside the box and bring an innovative and collaborative approach. Working closely with Project Architects and Project Managers, this role researches, programs, plans, designs, and administers building projects for clients, applying knowledge of architectural design, construction detailing, construction procedures, zoning and building codes, and building materials for clients according to their desires, needs, and financial resources. Designers should be familiar with working within a BIM project environment.
Graduate of an accredited architectural program with Bachelor's level degree or higher.
Minimum of 4 years of professional architectural experience, preferably on hospitality related projects.
Demonstrated path towards licensure.
Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and other BIM-related tools required.
Strong organizational, communications (both verbal and written) skills, and leadership abilities.
Ability to effectively coordinate with internal team members.
Ability to organize and prioritize tasks.
Participation in professional organizations preferred.
Specific responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Coordinate with Project Architect and Project Manager to execute the design and documentation of an architectural project.
Utilize BIM design software to prepare project documentation.
Work with outside Consultants as needed to coordinate design elements.
Make informed design and documentation decisions using discretion and good judgement.
Design work to be reviewed and stamped by a Registered Architect.
Aid in the preparation of project presentations for clients, local review boards, and hotel operators/brands.
Research and understand the implications of hotel brand standards on each project.
Contribute to the overall quality and success of the project team and firm as a whole.
